About the Alliance

The September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance, founded in 2001 and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2009 (EIN 32-0237505), develops and maintains the 9/11 National Memorial Trail — a multi-use route of more than 1,500 miles linking the three September 11th memorial sites: the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in New York City, the Pentagon Memorial in Arlington, Virginia, and the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The trail passes through 7 states and the District of Columbia, connecting communities, national parks, and partner trails along the way.
