2024 Tour de Trail: Berlin, PA to Flight 93
The September 11th National Memorial Trail is thrilled to host its sixth annual bike ride through the beautiful Laurel Highlands region of Pennsylvania, including a loop through the grounds of the Flight 93 National Memorial.
Please join us on Saturday, September 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm for a 24-mile ride beginning in Berlin, PA to the Flight 93 National Memorial, and back. All proceeds from the ride will support our efforts to create and maintain a 1,500-mile, multi-use trail connecting the three locations impacted by the events of 9/11.
In commemoration of the Flight 93 National Memorial, an interpretive ranger from the NPS will greet riders at the memorial to tell "The Story of Flight 93"– a ranger program discussing how Flight 93 fits into the greater context of September 11. This 30-minute program is held where visitors can sit on benches and listen to a ranger talk about aspects of the terrorist's plan, personal stories of passengers and crew, as well as the obstacles the passengers and crew overcame to thwart Flight 93 from hitting the terrorist's target.
