FDNY Deaths From 9/11-Related Illnesses Reach 343
More than 20 years after September 11, 2001, the FDNY has now lost 343 members to illnesses linked to their rescue and recovery work at the World Trade Center, the same number of firefighters lost at Ground Zero in their first-responding efforts.
Never Forget
These numbers represent lives lost, heroes who responded, and a nation that came together. Walk, ride, or run the trail that connects the three memorial sites to honor their memory.
