About This Event
The September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance will participate in the 2026 Hill Day advocacy event on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., joining partners from across the country to advocate for public lands, trails, recreation, and historical preservation initiatives.
Hosted in partnership with the National Park Foundation, Hill Day brings together organizations and advocates to engage with Congressional offices and discuss the importance of continued investment in America’s parks, trails, and community spaces.
During the event, Alliance representatives will meet with Congressional offices to discuss the importance of the 9/11 National Memorial Trail and its role in connecting communities through remembrance, education, recreation, and economic impact across participating states.
The event will also include policy briefings, networking opportunities, and collaborative discussions focused on strengthening partnerships that support public access, trail connectivity, and preservation efforts nationwide.
As part of the Alliance’s mission to preserve the legacy of September 11, 2001, participation in Hill Day provides an opportunity to share the national significance of the 9/11 National Memorial Trail and advocate for continued support of projects that connect communities through history, resilience, and remembrance.
