Russell J. Nee


Russell (Russ) is currently employed by the Morris Country Park Commissions as The Assistant superintendent. Trails, Special Projects, Emergency Operations, and has been employed by the Park Commission for 29 years.

He was born April 8, 1959 in Montreal, Canada. He grew up in Randolph Township, New Jersey and attended the Sacred Heart Grammar School and Randolph High School.

Russ was the sole owner of R.J. Nee Taxi Service in Dover, New Jersey from 1985 to 1989. His love for the outdoors prompted him to pursue a career in the Morris County Park Commission in 1989. Russ worked for the Maintenance Division and was promoted to Senior Park Maintenance in 1998, supervising Park Maintenance personnel in Hedden Country Park.

In 2008, he was promoted to Trails Foreman, where he continues to supervise construction and maintenance of the Morris Country Trail System.

Oversees the Morris Country Park Commission’s Adopt-A-Trail program

 

Randolph Township Fire Department Safety Officer 2011-2017

 

Chair Randolph Township Wildlife Committee 2012-Present

 

He was twice decorated, receiving “Certificate of Excellence for Interior Operations” in 1996, from the Chief of the Randolph Fire Department, and an “Award of Courage” in 2000 for locating and assisting victims of a fire from the Randolph Fraternal Order of Police.

Russ currently resides in Randolph Township with his wife Ginger. His son Joseph is a firefighter/EMT in Anne Arundel county Maryland. His daughter Christina resides in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He enjoys fishing and hunting and any other outdoor activity and spending time with the family and friends.
