Karl King
Karl joined the board of the September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance in March of 2012. An avid cyclist, he is a charter member and vice-president of Rails to Trails of Central Pennsylvania, the owner and operator of the Lower Trail. He is also a co-founder of the Tour de ‘Toona professional bicycling stage race.

Previously, Karl was involved in heritage conservation efforts, spending 15 years managing capital development projects from public involvement and planning through construction administration. His professional skills include coordination of planning and design services, public involvement and technical assistance, capital project management, grant writing and administration, business plan development and tourism promotion.

A graduate of Penn State University with a BA in Broadcast Journalism, he retired in January of 2013 as coordinator for the Pittsburgh-To-Harrisburg Main Line Canal Greenway, an initiative of the Allegheny Ridge Heritage Corporation. He lives with his wife Judy in Altoona, Pa.
